Hello again!
Wow! It is amazing how time can slip by when no one is watching. I have been great these last few days. Last week was kind of rough, my mom wasn’t in the greatest mood and for some reason no matter what I did there was nothing I could do to get her out of her funk. So after a few days of giving her space she was able to get herself out of whatever issue she was having. I feel that even though I wasn’t successful in helping her with her issue I did actually work on my communication skills. The reason that I feel this is because usually when my mom gets in a mood like this I would just walk away from her and do the whole avoiding situation. However since I actually tried to help her I feel that I showed her I was willing to branch my communication skills into helping her which is something that the two of us do need to work on.
Other than that my week ended pretty smoothly which was following by a crazy weekend. (It started snowing SaturdayL) however this turned into a great Halloween which was completely awesome. I went trick or treating with my sister, her boyfriend, and his 3 year old son- cutest little Spiderman you will ever see believe me. It made me really happy to see children out having so much fun from such a simple task. It made me think of back when I was a kid and one of the best days of the whole year was Halloween. It hasn’t seemed to change much trust me on that. Kids are stilling begging to wear their costume weeks before Halloween and asking if they can go trick or treating the day after Halloween. I look forward to when I have my own kids and can take them trick or treating and built awesome memories with them. Oh Happy times!
